El Magnifico Destructo

This is just a doodle of some strange creature I thought up.
I really like him and might even vectorize him for a t-shirt or sticker.
I don't know why his name is "El Magnifico Destructo" other than I thought it sounded cool. Hopefully it doesn't mean something like cock meat sandwich.
I think it means "the magnificent destruction" but I'm not exactly sure.
That in my head is what it means so if it doesn't than let me know. thanks.

Evil Seed

This is... well figure it out.
I just started doodling and wanted to do something nasty and trippy at the same time so this is what was spawned.
It was heavily inspired by Gigers' works since my wife got me the Giger necronomicons for Christmas and I drew this after looking at them.
I was going to call it "Cockthulhu" but I liked "Evil Seed" better.
Not much else I can say but enjoy.

Wayne the Green Man

This is Wayne.
He wanted to be the Green Man.
So I made a monster Portrait of him as a woodsy creature.
and I like it.

If you would like to get a monster portrait of you or a loved one please email me at bringeruvdeth@hotmail.com
Put "Monster Portrait" in the title so I don't confuse it with junk mail.

Undead Sugar Skull - Finished colors

Here is the final finished version. I am really pleased with how this one came out. So much better in person but what can you do. Now to frame it and wrap it up and put it under the tree :D I tried to use alot of my wifes favorite things for the details. She loves frogs and spiders and vampires and bats. This drawing was a good time.

WIP Undead Sugar Skull

Every year for Christmas I do a drawing for my wife. This year she wanted a sugar skull. This is what my mind came up with. It's still not finished though. I still have to color the skull but I really liked this version of it so I wanted to use this rare opportunity to post a WIP. I will probably be done with the coloring tonight so should have the finished version up this weekend. It was originally for a tattoo design for her but I think I went overboard with it. She probably wants something a little more cute and girly. I plan on vectorizing the skull part and making a sticker or t-shirt someday.

Automaton Transfusion, Dead Space Downfall

For my birthday a friend bought me a dvd called "Black Sheep". Now I love that movie for all it's cheesy gore and visuals and silliness. If you haven't seen it you should but that is not the reason of this post. You see I already owned that movie so I finally took it back to exchange it and I picked up a movie called Automaton Transfusion. I dig the zombies so I figured I would give it a chance. I'm glad I did. It is a low budget film so don't expect the best from it but the gore is great and inventive in some parts. I wasn't quite sold until a scene with a baby happens and then it became a sensation. You will understand when you see it. The ending did piss me off though. I was really getting into it by that point and it just ends with a to be continued. Other than that I think it is definatly worth watching. It is written and directed by Steven C. Miller. Go here for more info http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0469683/

Another movie I got was the animated "Dead Space Downfall". Directed by Chuck Patton and based on a video game. This cartoon rules!!! This has to be one of the best animations to come out in a long time. the zombie monsters are awesome and the gore is great as well. If you are disappointed with this then there is something wrong with you. I for one am glad as hell that I picked it up. Get more info on it here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1267379/

That is it for today. I should have some more art up soon.

Until then kiddies

Cthulhu Warrior

This is my tribute to the great H.P. Lovecraft.

This is how I picture Cthulhu before he goes out for battle.

I drew the pic in ink and colored it in photoshop.

I see a few mistakes but I really like the overall design.

Let me know what you think.

Seeing my art immortalized into someones arm is a great way to start off the month of December. Alexandra or http://papusadracului.deviantart.com/ on deviant art is the wonderful canvas in which this tattoo is displayed. I think it rocks!! Thanks again Alexandra for the greatest compliment any artist could receive.
This tat started out as a collaboration between 4 artists.

3) Backround and Foreground details - Dr. Twistid http://dr-twistid.deviantart.com/
4) Colors - DickStarr http://dickstarr.deviantart.com/

This was my first collaboration project and I had allot of fun on it. I think all our styles worked great together. What do you all think?

Soreness of the Throat

This is my latest Manifested Sickness. This one represents the sore throat and chapped lips. Not a good feeling at all when it hurts to swallow and your lips feel like they are going to fall off. If you have this condition stock up on Halls and chap stick and that numbing throat spray.

Enjoy it's painfulness.

As I finished inking and coloring this drawing I watched the movie "Dead and Buried" directed by Gary Sherman and written by Jeff Millar and Dan O'Bannon. Released in 1981. It was about some dinky little town where alot of people were ending up dead but mysteriously showing up again like nothing happened. That is all I will say about it because I don't like giving the story away. I'll just say that I liked it and that it had Robert Englund in it. The gore effects were great for the time it was made. I love the 80s horror movies effects before all this computer shiz. I'm not knocking the new methods but there is something about the old way that gives something a little extra to the movie. See more info on this movie here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082242/

One Eyed Flying Thing + Tetsuo The Iron Man

First off Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope you stuff yourselves full of turkey and giblets.

This drawing I can't really explain but I was sick when I drew it and I draw crazy shiz when I'm sick. I couldn't lump it together with my Manifested Sickness series though so used the opportunity to practice my digital coloring skills in photoshop.
I really like how it turned out. Let me know what you think.

In other news I watched a movie that I just had to talk about. This movie is called Tetsuo, The Iron Man by Shinya Tsukamoto. I saw it a long time ago but I was so drugged out that I didn't remember any of it so when we signed up for netflix I put it in my que and forgot about it again. Well it finally showed up and damn if I wasn't impressed. I watched it sober and it felt like I was on at least 5 hits of acid. The insanity of it and visual metal mastery is genius. I recommend it to everyone. Especially beginners in the film industry. I think they should make you watch it in high school art class and bottle feed it to babies. It's a punch to your visual senses. Get more info here

I need it for my collection.

Liquid Flatulence

I have been sick for the past week and when I am sick I draw the sickness to capture it on paper and release itself from my body. Here is my latest sickness manifestation. This one represents the painful gas and bowel movements that you get with the flu. Horrible shiz I tell you. Just plain horrible. anyway enjoy the sickness.

Aquabats Concert

Aquabats rule!!!! This was the first concert I've been to in around 7 years. I used to go just about every weekend to a different show but life took over. anyway the Aquabats haven't been in Florida for over 4 years so I wasn't going to miss this show. They are hilarious. You cant go wrong at one of their shows. Great music, great background video nonsense with clips from old monster movies, kung fu movies and just plain crazy shiz and strange rantings from the MCBC in the middle of songs. Such awesome stage presence. I had so much fun it was ridiculous. Got my pic taken with MCBC and my CD/DVD combo signed by MCBC and Crash. I also got a sticker and a squishy little bat pal. Like I said before Aquabats rule!!!!!

After that show I had to go across the street to pic up my paintings from "the Garage" from the show I was in a couple weeks prior. Anyways "Agent Orange was playing so I got to see about 5 or so of their songs live as well. 2 great shows in one night. That was a great night.

Mercer Mayer Little Monsters Tribute

last night for my birthday i wanted to try something different. i haven't done watercolor since highschool maybe 10th grade and ive been wanting to for some time now. my wife bought me a water color paper pad, some watercolor paints and brush set last year for christmas and i havent opened them yet. so i figured id break them out and give it a try.

what better way to do a water color painting than to honor one of my biggest inspirations growing up.
Mercer Mayer gave me my first love of monsters and water color. I still love and have a bunch of the Little Monster and Little Critter books. Thanks for all your great inspiration Mercer. You will always be a hero in my eyes.

Ugliness Within Reflects Throughout

This was something fun to do. I doodled out a rotton bird type head and liked it so wanted to use it in something. i also wanted to practice the female form so decided to mix the two elements together. This is what came of it. To me it represents how really beautiful women that have horrible attitudes make them unattractive. atleast to me anyway.

Monsters of Art Show at the Garage

The Garage in St. Pete Florida was a great place to have an art show. I had alot of fun. Here are some pictures to prove it. these are pics of me with my paintings, me with other costume goers and friends, some drunken silliness pics and the band that played which was Zombie Dragstrip Hookers along with some hot zombie dancers!!! Don't ask what my costume is supposed to be because I don't really know. It's pieces of a bunch of stuff and its not really what it was meant to be. I had a mask as well but it was way to hot and I couldn't talk to anyone so I took it off. You will have to toon in to the next post to see the Halloween costume in all its glory.
