The Power of Christ Compells Me

Here is a comic based on a dream I had awhile ago. I think it was after my parents were telling me I was going to burn in hell if I didn't change my ways again. I thought I finally got thru to them about that but I guess I was wrong. Anyway I hope you enjoy. I had alot of fun making it.

Done in black ink and some text in photoshop.

Kermeature of the Black Lagoon

This one is pretty self explanatory. another mixture of Muppet's and universal monster movies. This time Kermit the frog, Miss Piggy and Creature from the Black Lagoon. At first I wasn't planning on doing one of these two but I came up with this idea and had to see it thru. I'm glad I did because this turned out great. In my opinion anyway.

Done with watercolors, black brush pen, white paint marker.

Ernieliens

Still continuing with the "Twistid Childhood Memories" series with this take on two of my favs!!! Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street and Aliens. I was doodling a version of Bert and Ernie but it wasn't speaking to me and then I got the Alien idea and it came together great. I really like this one and am glad I chose this version.

Done with watercolors, black brush pen, silver paint marker, white paint marker.

The Chakker

OK so I've been watching "Land of the Lost" lately for nostalgic purposes and the show is so cheesy it makes me laugh my ass off. Chakka was always one of my favorites so I figured I would add him to the "Twistid Childhood Memories" series.

So how is this for a twist :D

Waldorfstatlerstein

And here are the 2 best hecklers in the world combined as the Frankenstein monster. I really like how this one turned out. I didn't come up with any clever saying for them because I like the image just the way it is.

I used water colors, black brush pen, silver paint marker, white paint marker.

Waldorf and Statler are copyrighted property of Jim Hanson's Muppet Show.

Count With Me Now

Here is the newest childhood memory warpage. This time it's "the Count" from "Sesame Street" that gets the treatment. I always loved how the classic vampires bit the ladies in the breast instead of the neck. That was the main inspiration for this piece.

I used water colors, black brush pen, white paint marker, colored pencils and markers.

Monster King

Continuing with the "Twistid childhood memories tribute series". This one is based on the book by Maurice Sendak - "Where the Wild Things Are". I loved this book as a kid and I still have a copy. Even got to go to the Maurice Sendak gallery show at the Tampa museum of art. Talk about awesome. Anyway I really love how this one came out. Why oh why didn't I start using water colors earlier.

For this one I used water colors, colored pencils, black brush pen, silver paint marker and white paint marker.

Whack Em Dead

Moving right along with my "Twistid Childhood Memories Tribute Series" is this masterpiece of hilarity right here. Fozzie the Bear always made me laugh but I always pictured him as a mob hit man or punisher type vigilante. So that is how I portrayed him here. I'm having way too much fun on these tributes. As if you couldn't tell.

I used watercolors, black brush pen, colored pencils and white acrylic sharpie.
Fozzie is property of Jim Henson's Muppet Show.

A B Children are Delicious

Here is the next installment of my "favorite childhood memories tribute series".
And since I'm Dr. Twistid I had to warp them. This one is of Grover from Sesame Street. This is the way "The Monster At the End of this Book" should have ended.
I am having allot of fun on these. I used watercolors, black brush pen and white sharpie oil paint marker.

Grover is the property of Sesame Streets owners

"A B Children are Delicious" is property of me but if you want it make me an offer.

Conjouring Allyn

This is another "Monster Portrait" commission. A bit different though since I usually do them on 9" x 12" paper and this was done on a 20" x 16" canvas. I had to make myself stop working on it. I kept wanting to add more and more and pretty soon it would have been mud. This was fun and a great learning experience. I keep trying to push myself with each painting. I'm getting better and that's what counts. Thanks for looking and I would love to hear your comments.

Sorry about the horrible quality of the pic. I took alot of pics the night I gave it to him so I figured atleast one would be good enough to show. this was the best looking of them so figured I would post this one until I getter a better shot of it. I'm glad I know him.

Happy New Year With Count Gonzolaff

First off hope everyones new year will be grand!!! Can't be any worse than last year that is for sure. I did allot last year and accomplished quite a few goals. I plan on doing allot more this year. Also wanted to thank everyone for the support and good times. I love you all.

Now on to the Gonz. I love Gonzo, he always made me laugh and is permanently etched inside my happy memories. I wanted to honor him and continue the childhood favs series with watercolors. The first being the "Little Monsters Tribute". I wanted to have fun with this and make Gonzo a vampire pimp. I used my favorite Gonzo toy for reference. The toy is actually in one of my earlier blogs somewhere. Anyway since he is a pimp i had to add some chicken headed mistresses. Since they are vampires they all had to wear the crimson attire.

I used water colors, brush pen and white paint marker for highlights.
Gonzo is property of Jim Henson
